Project Underdog Rescue began back in 2015 after our founder and CEO Eva witnessed first-hand the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable (but misunderstood) cats and dogs whilst working as a veterinary nurse in a vet clinic and volunteering at an animal shelter.Project Underdog Rescue is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and successfully rehoming companion animals who may otherwise be killed. Many of the animals we rescue have complex medical and/or behavioural challenges, often requiring extensive intervention and resources. Any specialised treatment recommended by our veterinarians is provided to the animals and all due diligence is taken to ensure all animals medical needs have been addressed prior to adoption. All our animals are all placed in loving foster homes which allows them greater interaction with people and encourages healthy socialisation with other domestic pets. It also gives us the chance to learn about each animal's personality and provide him or her with any necessary training prior to adoption. We believe having animals in real homes gives them the best chance at a smooth transition into their forever home.
